What do you think would be the top one or two things rank-and-file editors and producers should request from the marketing department at any given news operation?

This is a wonderful list, Danny. I have to start plowing through those 25 tools on your list.

To editors: Spend more time with the marketing folks than the ad folks. The marketing folks are now doing their jobs, PLUS support for sales.

If anything, ask sales about your section. Go through the list of folks who advertise in your print section and ask them why they advertise there.

Just. Break. Down. Silos. In. Your. News. Organization.
