About Journalistopia
Journalistopia is an online journalism blog dedicated to improving our craft and spreading new ideas to journalists of every ilk: reporters, producers, editors, videographers, photographers, managers, hobbyists, teachers, students and more.
Danny Sanchez, your humble host, is the Digital Platform Manager (a.k.a. Online Editor) at Courant.com and FOX CT’s CTnow.com*, two Tribune Interactive news sites that form part of an integrated newsroom in Hartford, Conn.
Danny has previously held online news editing and product management responsibilities at OrlandoSentinel.com and has been one of those pesky interns at TampaBay.com, The South Florida Sun-Sentinel and Sun-Sentinel.com, The Miami Herald and National Public Radio affiliate WUFT Classic 89.1 working as a reporter and/or online producer.
Before graduating from the University of Florida, he held down jobs as a swimming instructor, concert tech crew chief, garlic roll maker and bowling machine repair guy. Yes, working in journalism is much more interesting.
